images sent by Free People - thank you :D
Rock'n'Roll - that's what Free People's July catalogue is all about. This is a sneek peak and we have to wait until July 5th to see the full catalogue! I'm excited for more :D
Below you can see the girls in action!

During the recent months you might have noticed some changes towards the typical image of a model in the fashion industry. Aside of being tall, narrow and having an interesting face and great bone structure it will be a great benefit for an uprising model if they are exotic. And by that I mean having features of both male and female and leaving the observer questioning about whether the model is woman or man.

As I personally love surprises in all their appearances I'm always left stunned when I look at this specific type of model. I find myself staring at the picture for minutes gazing at the model's facial features and being left stunned at nature's creations.
Above you can see two transgender models (Lea T and Valentijn de Hingh who both are originally male but then underwent gender reassignment surgery) and Andrej Pejic who is a male model with amazing female features (who I've wrote about here). All three are getting more and more successful with having appeared on catwalks of Givenchy, Maison Martin Margiela and Dior haute couture and numerous pages in fashion magazines.

Summer's here (yes really!)

Summer has finally arrived here in London and so I've brought up all the covers and parts of editorials which celebrate my favourite season! Let's hope it lasts for a while :D

Shoe Friday #5

Hola! Let's greet summer with two wedges which feature plaits AND flowers! There's nothing more you can ask for right?
Have a great weekend my dear readers!!

Mad Jac - photographed by Zuza Krajewska & Bartek Wieczorek for Fashion Poland

Zombie Boy!!!! His body is covered in such incredible art! It's crazy what he did though! Anyway... Check out this awesome editorial?!? Dealing with a current issue which bothers everyone and showing the latest designs at the same time is a great combination.
I love how the models show dynamic expressions on their faces (which doesn't happen very often in editorials). Also the group photos and energetic movement captured with the camera is great! And of course our favourite Burberry studded leather jacket is being admired ;-)

Versace for H&M

I just read that Versace will launch a collection for H&M later this year! The collaboration will hit the stores on 17th of November and will include approximately 40 pieces of womenswear and 20 pieces of menswear. Also, accessories such as shoes and jewelry will be featured. Additionally, Donatella Versace will be the first designer to create objects such as pillow cases and bed linen.
Shortly afterwards, on 19th of January 2012, a pre-spring collection will launch too.
The pieces will be based on iconic clothes from the present and past collections; expect many dresses decorated with leather and studs.
Below you can watch a video where Donatella Versace and Margareta van den Bosch, creative director at H&M, explain the collection. Take a sneak peek at the designs!

What do you think of this collaboration?

Let's fish some jewellery!

Hello guys!! The weather here is really not appropriate for June (13 degrees anyone?) and so I selected some eye-popping jewellery to brighten up our moods! I searched for coral inspired bling and made this collage. I think the outcome is slightly over the top and you have to look carefully to see the differences between the jewelry itself and the underwater plants but I really like it! SO YUMMY COLOURS! Hahahah..
Enjoy :D

Shoe Friday #4 - High class art

Our favourite shoe designer Christian Louboutin teamed up with one of the best known still life photographers Peter Leppmann to create these wonderfully astonishing images which are used to showcase the AW11 collection. They took the original paintings and reinvented them by adding accessories such as shoes and bags. Each painting is chosen to match the displayed item perfectly. To represent the different models and characteristics different women from various times have been selected to emphasise Louboutin's designs.

I love it when fashion design meets another form of art. It can't get more aesthetic!

Chateau Dreams - Agyness Deyn photographed by James Franco for Elle US July

Soo...if your friend was a model what would you do? You'd photograph them of course! Probably that's what James Franco thought before he used Agyness as his model.

I love the outcome - it has a great travelling vibe in it. And we get to see what James Dean would look like if he was a women, hahahah! Aggy looks cool and awesome as ever!
