Shoe Friday #78

These shoes are super beautiful. I saw them the first time modeled by Anja Rubik in the above campaign and absolutely loved the way they make the foot look. It's such an unusual sandal, I really like it! Courtesy of Giuseppe Zanotti; get it here and for a bit less money here.

On a different note; I'm writing a feature on fashion trends for uni and have also created a survey to get different people's opinions about their value. Could you please fill it out for me? I would be very grateful! Here's the link:
Thank you so much!

River Island SS13

SS13 at River Island looks quite promising, doesn't it? Especially the jewellery grew on me - all these colourful gems, embroidered fabrics and crazy combinations are what wowed me at today's press day. I am very happy that Mexican and Aztec designs are still sought after for next summer. Other favourites include the diamond/stud belt, the necklace with the three smaragd stones and the last one with the spikes (I love my spikes, I really do).

And there's more! Alexander Wang look-like leather cut garments and mesh dresses are set to be huge next year. It is fair to say that luxe sportswear isn't going anywhere.
Next up, we also have glam military, that is khaki colours mixed up with glitzy metallics and faux snake skin. The military trend has been updated successfully and will remain on the fashion front.
Lace in girly nude colours as well as flashy neon à la Christopher Kane was also present today. For next season, laser-cut techniques have been refined to create even more detail (is that a mini monkey I spy on the sleeves of the white lace top in the fifth photo?).
And then we'll get a cool 70s hippie boho look where earthy colours have been combined with raw denim and loads of studs.

All you gotta do now is choose, plan and buy. Simples!
Another thing; I went to the Valentino: Master Of Couture press preview today and I was blown away by it. I've been looking forward to this particular exhibition for months and it's one of the best ones I've seen. Over 130 of Valentino's designs are showcased and ready to be examined by fashion hungry minds. You have to go; it's open until 3rd of March next year.

Shoe Friday #77

These Topshop boots are really cute. I think it's the colour that gives them that innocent touch. But then again, the triangle bronze studs make up for that. Get them here.

Knock Kock Knit

H&M shirt
ZARA jeans
BRONX boots
FOREVER 21 necklace
Laughing out loud in the cold... that's how the next frosty months are going to look like for me! Why? 'Cause it's warm in my knits. And even if they don't look stylish, I'm not freezing my limbs off. During winter I really choose comfort over fashion.
But this particular knit is one of the stylish ones and one of my favourites. I really like its' cream colour, slouchy fit and little metallic details. That's why I forgive it that it's made out of pure acrylic...

What about you? Comfort or fashion?

LFW Street Style - Walk Don't Talk (Pt. 3)

The above are Alexa Chung's shoes (She's wearing Acne's Star boots)
The above are Susie Lau's shoes (the one's on the right, obvs)
More shoes! Unfortunately, that was the last instalment of Walk Don't Talk. I hope you like it as much as I do.
But don't be sad, there's always next season ;-)

Shoe Friday #76

I'm more of a brogue girl than a loafer girl. Brogues got this "I mean business" sense to them which I like very much. I like that the above brogues (by Church's) merge traditional craftsmanship with modern elements (the gun-metal studs). I'd definitely wear them with black skinny jeans and contrasting socks, that'd be fun.
Happy Friday!
